Javier Bardem won the 2008 Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance as "Anton Chigurh" in No Country for Old Men. In 2008, Bardem won a Golden Globe, a SAG Award and a BAFTA Award for this same performance.
Bardem had been previously nominated for an Oscar in 2001 for his performance in Before Night Falls.
