One of London's top fashion designers that has had a very prosperous profession over the past twenty years is Jasper Conran. In 1978, at the young age of 19, Jasper Conran developed his first Womenswear Collection and was among the first designers to show at London Fashion Week. Jasper Conran launched the first Jasper Conran Menswear Collection in 1985.In 1989, Conran, along with Seibu, established a retail partnership in Japan and in 1995, Jasper Conran created the costume and set design for 'Swan Lake' for The Scottish Ballet, that was produced by Galina Samsova. Conran developed J Womenswear Collection in 1996, the J Jeans Womenswear Collection in 1997, and the J Home Collection in 1998 that were devised for Debenhams.
