  • Jason Voorhees, often referred to as simply "Jason," is a fictional serial killer and the star of the slasher/horror Friday the 13th Films.

    The twelfth installment of the Friday the 13th series, a remake of the original "Friday the 13th" was released to theaters on February 13, 2009.

  • History

    Jason died as a young boy over the summer of 1957 while attending Camp Crystal Lake due to the negligence of the counselors.

    In the first film, the story follows Jason's mother, as she murders the camp's employees who she feels are responsible for the death of her son. She is able to murder six of the counselors until a teenager named Alice is able to fend her off and kill her with a machete.

    In the sequel to the film, Jason rose from the dead and killed Alice in her home, avenging his mother's death and heading back to Crystal Lake to continue killing counselors.

    Since then he has appeared in 9 more movies, including one that pitted him against genre rival Freddy Krueger.
