Offensive tackle Jason Smith is an American football player who was selected second overall in the 2009 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. Before his time in the NFL, Smith played for W.T. White High School and Baylor University.
Early Beginnings
Smith began his career in his hometown of Dallas, Texas as an offensive tackle on the W.T. White football team. During his years as an upperclassmen he was named number 95 best players in the area by the Dallas Morning News.
Smith went on to play at Baylor University and switched positions. He began his college career as a tight end and ultimately transitioned to right tackle.
