Jason Reitman is an actor, writer, producer and also a director that was born in Quebec, Canada. on October 19, 1977. His father Ivan Reitman, was also a famous producer, of his time. When Jason was only a child, they moved their family from Canada, to Los Angeles, CA. He went to Harvard-Westlake School located in Los Angeles, California, and also majored in English-Creative Writing at the University of Southern California.
He is best known for directing the big hit Indie movies Thank You for Smoking and Juno. He was nominated for Best Director at the 2008 Academy Awards for his work on the movie Juno, but lost to The Coen Brothers for No Country for Old Men.
