  • Jason Jennings is a right-handed pitcher for the Texas Rangers. Jennings attended Poteet High School in Mesquite TX. After graduating from high school, the Arizona Diamondbacks selected Jennings in the 54th round of the 1996 amateur draft. He declined a contract, however, choosing to play college baseball at Baylor University. At Baylor, Jennings was named the 1999 Collegiate Baseball Player of the Year, the Arizona Diamondbacks selected Jennings in the 1st round of the 1999 amateur draft. Jennings spent time with the Rockies and the Astros, before joining the Rangers before the start of the 2008 season.
