  • NHL Career

    Chimera was drafted 121st overall in the 1997 NHL Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. He was assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs, an Oilers' American Hockey League affiliate. Chimera made his NHL debut during the 2000-01 regular season, playing a single game with the Oilers before returning to the Bulldogs. He continued to play for the Oilers until June 26, 2004, when he was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes. Chimera joined the A.S. Mastini Varese in Italy during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout. Following the lockout, Chimera was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets on October 8, 2005.
