Model Jaslene Gonzalez was the winner of cycle eight of the hit reality television model competition America's Next Top Model and the first Latina winner of the series. She won a contracts with Elite Model Management and Cover Girl and a photo spread in Seventeen magazine. She tried out in cycle seven, but was not cast.
Life As A Model
Since her win Gonzalez has been only the second contestant on the series to earn a showcard in New York's fashion week. In 2007 she was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards. She recently signed with Liz Claiborne and is a spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and currently works as a model for the clothing line Lot29.
