Jarrod Washburn is a Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. Washburn was drafted by the Anaheim Angels and would be the staff ace during the Angels 2002 World Series run. That season he would win 18 games and be the starting pitcher for the Angels in game one of the World Series against the San Francisco Giants. In 2005, he signed as a free agent with the Seattle Mariners. In his years with Seattle, he has provided solid, yet unspectacular numbers, and has been unable to establish himself as the staff ace. Born and raised in Wisconsin, in the off-season he still calls the state home with his wife and children.
