Actor Jared Leto put on 60 pounds to play the part of Mark David Chapman, John Lennon's killer, in the movie Chapter 27 and temporarily ended up in a wheel-chair as a result of developing gout from the weight gain. Although Leto has lost the weight, he fears he will never be back in the healthy shape he was in before the filming of the movie. Leto reportedly vows that he will never do that to his body again. Chapter 27 will be released in New York City on March 28, 2008.
