Jardine, the Taiwan-based manufacturer of baby products, recalled 96,000 cribs on April 30, 2009. The announcement follows two previous Jardine recalls—in June 2008 and January 2009—over the same safety issue. The recalls were issued after reports of slats breaking, causing children to become injured or trapped.Your Money's Worth: Another Jardine crib recall (April 30, 2009)
Though only minor injuries were reported before the April 30 recall, the Consumer Product Safety Commission has warned of the potential for strangulation. Owners of Jardine cribs are advised remove the cribs immediately and contact the company for full credit toward a replacement.Your Money's Worth: Another Jardine crib recall (April 30, 2009)
