  • Jane Lynch is an American actress, writer and comedian. She began her career as a member of The Second City comedy troupe, playing Carole Brady in The Real Life Brady Bunch, and with the award winning play Oh Sister, My Sister. Her breakthrough film role was as lesbian Christy Cummings, the personal dog handler in Christopher Guest's 2000 film Best in Show. Lynch is has also made numerous Television appearances on shows such as The West Wing, 7th Heaven, Party Down, and Frasier. Lynch has pioneered the portrayal of lesbian women in theater, film, and television roles and, in 2005, was recognized as one of "10 Amazing Gay Women in Showbiz" by the POWER UP organization.
