Jamie Walker is a left-handed pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles. After graduating from Warren County High School in McMinnville, TN, Walker went on to attend Austin Peay State University. In 1992 the Houston Astros drafted Walker in the 10th round. The Atlanta Braves selected Walker from the Astros in the 1996 rule 5 draft, who then traded him along with outfielder Jermaine Dye to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for Keith Lockhart and Michael Tucker. In 2001 Walker signed a free agent contract to pitch for the Detroit Tigers. After being granted free agency in 2006, Walker signed a free agent deal with the Orioles.
Strengths
Walker is very good against lefties, and throws three pitches effectively: fastball, change-up, slider.[1]
Weaknesses
Does not have overpowering stuff, and does not dominate lefties.[1]
