Jamie Oliver, also known as The Naked Chef, is a British celebrity chef, television host, restaurateur and author. He was chosen to cook for world leaders on April 2, 2009, the first night at the G-20 summit in London. Career
At the age of 16, Jamie Oliver began working as a pastry chef at The Neal Street Restaurant located in London. After working at Neal Street, he took a position at the River Cafe where he worked for three years. During this time, he met television producer Patricia Llewellyn. Llewellyn recognized Oliver's talent and liked his young and hip image. Oliver became the star of The Naked Chef, which aired for two successful seasons. Since then he has written a total of ten cookbooks and hosted several television specials.
He started a restaurant called [[Fifteen]] and the purpose of the restaurant is to take in less fortunate, inner city teens and teach them not only to cook, but how to be responsible and learn important life skills. Jamie has a big heart to match his accomplishments, and has done things like this throughout the course of his entire career.

After winning the TED prize Jamie Oliver speaks out against "food ignorance" and the cost of obesity to the American budget. He dramatically demonstrates how much sugar each child ingests during 5 years at school, solely through drinking the sweetened flavored milk provided, by tipping a wheelbarrow of sugar onto the stage. He receives a standing ovation for his insights and suggested solutions.
