  • American professional hockey player Jamie Langenbrunner plays for the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League. Langenbrunner has served captain of the Devils since December of 2007.
  • NHL Career

    Langenbrunner was drafted 35th overall in the 1993 NHL draft by the Dallas Stars. He spent two seasons with the Peterborough Petes in the Ontario Hockey League before making his NHL debut with the Stars in 1994. He continued with the Stars until March 19, 2002, when he was traded to the New Jersey Devils. Langenbrunner played in Germany for the ERC Ingolstadt during the 2004-05 NHL lockout, then returned to the Devils in 2005. He renewed his contract with the Devils in 2006. The deal will reportedly pay him $14 million over five years.
