Early Life
Jamey Blake Carroll was born in Evansville, Indiana, on February 18, 1974. He attended college at the University of Evansville. In 1996, Carroll was selected by the Montreal Expos in the 14th round of the Major League Baseball amateur draft.Baseball-Reference.com: Jamey Carroll
Pro Career
On September 11, 2002, Carroll made his MLB debut with the Montreal Expos. He spent several seasons with the Expos' organization, and was part of the franchise when it became the Washington Nationals. In 2006, his contract was purchased by the Colorado Rockies, and after the season he was traded to the Cleveland Indians. In 2007, he appeared in 108 games and finished the season with a .225 batting average with 25 runs batted in for the Indians.MLB.com: Jamey Carroll
