Early Life
James Woods was born in Vernal, Utah on April 18, 1947. He grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island and went to Pilgrim High School. Because he was an army brat, he was to join the United States Air Force Academy to become a fighter pilot, but before this could ever come to be, Woods hand tendons got seriously injured in a plate glass window accident which meant he would not be accepted.
