James Van Der Beek

James Van Der Beek is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Dawson Leery on the WB drama Dawson's Creek. Known as somewhat of an athlete, it was a football injury at the age of 13 that changed his focus to acting. As well as television acting, he has also appeared in several films including Final Draft and Scary Movie.
