• James Scott is an English actor whose roles on American soap operas have prompted a huge fan following. Before landing his first daytime gig in 2004, he was a model for the popular Storm agency, home to such models as Kate Moss and Elle McPherson.

• Background

  Growing up in England, James Scott always knew he would one day be an actor. After he turned 16 he left home for Scotland, where his mother was originally from, and from there went on to London, where he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art before eventually making his way to Los Angeles.

• All My Children

  As Ethan Cambias on the popular ABC soap opera All My Children, James Scott garnered a large following of devoted fans. His character was short lived, however, meeting an untimely death in a Mardi Gras explosion. After appearing several times as a ghost, All My Children released him from his contract so that he could start work on Days of Our Lives.

• Days of Our Lives

  As the famous and mysterious race car driver EJ Wells, James Scott burst onto the popular NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives in May of 2006 as a potential love interest for Salem bad girl Sami Brady. The show had other plans for EJ, however, who was revealed to be Elvis Dimera, the son of the Brady family's arch enemy Stephano Dimera. EJ's character took a dark turn, and was revealed to be the gloved hand, and thus responsible for a string of crimes around Salem, including the attempted murder of John Black. Despite his villainous turn and a very heated debate about an episode airing on December 29, 2006, fans took to James Scott and continued to support a pairing with Sami. These fans became known as EJAMI fans, and sparked a heated, online battle with fans of another popular couple, Sami and Lucas.

• Urth Solutions

  NBC and Days of Our Lives are not the only ones that support going green. James Scott is the co-founder of a company called Urth Solutions, which helps developing countries in resource rich areas find profitable ways to utilize those resources. The goal is to help the communities help themselves by addressing environmental, social and humanitarian issues. It was during an Urth Solutions related trip to Madagascar in October of 2007 that James Scott contracted Malaria. It prompted him to get involved in the fight against the disease, and he went on to do a PSA and voice his support for I Will Africa.
