James Murdoch is the son of Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch and is expected to succeed his father as chairman of News Corporation.

James Murdoch attended high school in New York City, New York. He then went on to attend Harvard University, where he studied film and history, but he did not graduate. He did, however, put his passion for sketching comics to use in Harvard's satire publication called the Harvard Lampoon.
