Football Career
Farrior played college football with the Virginia Cavaliers in the NCAA. He started three years, recording 381 tackles, which was third on the Cavaliers all-time tackle list. Farrior earned All-ACC honors during his junior and senior seasons.Official Site of the Pittsburgh Steelers: James Farrior
After college, Farrior was selected eighth overall in the 1997 NFL draft by the New York Jets. He made his professional debut with the Jets that same year, playing in all 16 regular season games. Farrior continued with the Jets for four additional seasons, playing in 60 of 64 games. After entering the free agency in 2002, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
