In 1998 Dolan founded The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research and he is also an active member of their board of directors. In addition, Dolan has also made donations to Dikembe Mutombo's various charity projects. Dolan also helped organize the concert series “From The Big Apple to The Big Easy," which benefited victims of Hurricane Katrina.
