James Caviezel is an American film actor who has starred in various films, including The Thin Red Line, Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ and Outlander.

Personal History
Caviezel was born on September 26, 1968 in Mount Vernon, Washington. He has four siblings, Timothy, Ann, Amy and Erin. Upon graduating high school in 1987, Caviezel attended Bellevue Community College, where he played the sport of basketball. Later on, Caviezel transferred to the University of Washington where he studied acting.Caviezel is married to teacher and flautist, Kerri Browitt. Together the couple adopted two children from China, one of whom has a brain tumor. Caviezel and Browitt are devout Roman Catholics.
