Career Highlights
Following the footsteps of his famous older brother, John Belushi, James' route to the entertainment industry included a stint at Chicago's prestigious Second City improv comedy troupe. He didn't rise to prominence, however, until after John's death in 1979. In the 1980s, he worked as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and acted in a series of hit films, including Trading Places, Little Shop of Horrors, The Principal and K-9. Though his film work through the 1990s was less commercially successful, 2001 saw the debut of his family sitcom, According to Jim, which aired on ABC until June of 2009. Belushi also sings for The Blues Brothers with Dan Aykroyd, as did John Belushi.
