James Alsop is one of the contestants on the new Bravo reality show Step It Up And Dance, where dancers compete for a 100,000 dollar prize.
Alsop was raised in Virginia with his three older sisters and twin brother. When he was 14 the family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, and in 2006 graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. While attending college Alsop formed a dance group called "Misconception", and soon after began training in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and jazz funk.
Alsop has performed on stage with Perez Hilton and R&B; singer, Shanice. He describes himself as outgoing and says he always makes sure that people around him has a smile on their face.
