Football Career
Following his college football career with the Tennessee Volunteers, Lewis was selected fifth overall in the 2000 NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He made his NFL debut that year and helped the team win Super Bowl XXXV in 2001. In 2003, Lewis recorded a career high 2,066 yards and 14 touchdowns, earning his first Pro Bowl selection as well as the NFL Offensive Player of the Year and the Associated Press Player of the Year awards. Legal Trouble
In 2004, Lewis was arrested and convicted of conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine. He served a four-game suspension as well as a five-month prison sentence in relation to the charges.
