Life, Career and Reality News
Pavelka hails from Denton, Texas, and is one of three boys. Jake studied at the University of North Texas and Embry Engineering University for Aerospace Science, but already knew that his love of flying would lead to his ultimate profession. He began taking flying lessons at the young age of 12, and became an airline captain when he was only 23.
Pavelka is a down-home kind of guy, and has been known to have critics, especially after his crying jag on The Bachelorette, but he states, ""You could be Superman and people will break you apart." He makes a point of not listening to the negative things that are said about him.
When asked how the reality series played out for him, he replied, "I went into it with very basic expectations and I was open to anything that was going to happen, any suggestions the crew had along the way. I went into it on cloud nine, and I never came off cloud nine."http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/ent/stories/DN-bachelor_1216gd.ART.State.Edition1.2eb8791.html
