Jake Fox

  • Jake Fox is a professional baseball player. He made his Major League Baseball debut as the catcher for the Chicago Cubs in 2007.

    Fox began the 2009 season with the Cubs, but was sent to the minors in March when the team was forced to trim its roster. He was called back up on May 26, 2009.

  • MLB Career

    He was selected in the third round of 2003 MLB amateur draft from the University of Michigan in the Big Ten Conference. He was invited to the big league spring training in 2006 as a non-roster invitee.Scout.com: Jake Fox

    He spent several seasons in the minors, playing for in the Single-A and Double-A leagues. Fox played for the AAA Iowa Cubs in early 2009, leading the league in runs batted in, hitting a .426 batting average and 16 home runs.
