This is Part 2 of our complete Jak and Daxter The Precursor Legacy Walkthrough, featuring Geyser Rock and Sandover Village.
Geyser Rock
YouTube: Jak & Daxter - #02 Geyser Rock (Time: 8:49)
To get some practice before taking on the challenges ahead, Samos will send you to Geyser Rock, a tutorial area where you will learn the ropes of the game. There aren't too many dangers here, and you can practice your attacks on the dummies that litter the island. Samos and Keira will communicate with you via a remote flying machine and give you tips and instructions.
Find the Cell on the Path
Walk down the path, listening to what Samos and Keira have to say, and collect orbs, jump spikes, and attack the dummies if you wish. Eventually, you'll find your first Power Cell in plain sight. Nab it and enjoy watching Daxter do his victory dance - you'll be seeing him do a lot of them throughout the game.

Open the Precursor Door
You'll find a cluster of Blue Eco, but it's not enough to get you to the door in time. Follow the path beyond the Precursor door (the door is marked by a blue lightning bolt symbol) and you'll come across a Blue Eco vent. Charge yourself up and now you'll have plenty of the blue electric stuff to open the door, behind which is another Power Cell.

Climb Up the Cliff
After Samos introduces you to Green Eco, cross the bridge, dodge the spikes, and jump up the platforms and Precursor towers until...

Free 7 Scout Flies
In other levels, Scout Flies will be scattered and hard to find, but here, they are all together in plain sight. Near the location of the first Power Cell, you'll find all 7 Scout Fly boxes all together. Smash each one with a diving attack (X+Square) and after you nab the seventh fly...

Sandover Village
- Sandover Village is Jak's hometown - a tranquil, seaside settlement with plenty of helpful, friendly residents. See how they can help you while you search for Power Cells to help you continue north. You need 20 Power Cells in order to access the Fire Canyon.
Bring 90 Orbs to the Mayor
YouTube: Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy 100% Part 3/31 (Time: 10:00)
The mayor lives in the building with a large windmill attached to it, and he's your typical pompous, greedy politician. He'll request 90 orbs in exchange for a Power Cell, so you'll have to do some exploring around the village to collect them. You may have to venture into the jungle or onto the beach as well in order to collect the required amount. Once you do...

Bring 90 Orbs to Your Uncle
Jak's uncle lives directly across from the mayor's place. He's an explorer of some sort with a British accent. You know the drill - go out and get 90 orbs, then come back to collect your reward.
Power Cell acquired!
Herd the Yakows Into Their Pen
Just north of the village, past the path that leads up to the Fire Canyon, you'll find a skinny farmer in a straw hat taking a snooze. He'll ask you to corral his yakows (a cross between a yak and a cow) into the pen behind his house because he's too lazy to do it himself. Some farmer. In the open field beyond his house, you'll find four or five yakows. Give them a little motivation with a swift spin-kick to the behind and direct them to the pen entrance. Some of the yakows are rather far from the farmer's place, so you'll have to do some searching. For your animal abuse, you will be rewarded with a Power Cell.

Bring 120 Orbs to the Oracle
No, not the lady from The Matrix. In all three "hub areas" of the game, you'll find a bronze Precursor statue that resembles an elephant head. The first one can be found by climbing a few small cliffs by the yakows' grazing area and using a rolling jump to reach the ledge the Oracle is perched on. And check it out, it's got Power Cells for eyes! Listen to some sagely, cliched advice from the Oracle (pay attention though, it foreshadows events in future Jak games) and hand over a whopping 120 orbs for each of the Power Cells. Why an elephant head statue is so greedy is beyond me.
