    On January 14, 2009, Google announced changes to Jaiku as well as a several other online services. As most of these changes involved downscaling or abandoning various projects, blogger Duncan Riley referred to it as the "Google Massacre."The Inquisitr: Google Massacre: Google Closes Jaiku, Dodgeball, Notebook, Catalog Search; Google Video Downgraded (January 14, 2009) In addition to halting any further development of Jaiku, Google also announced the termination of the Dodgeball service, which features GPS-enabled social networking.
