Jae Kuk Ryu is a Major League Baseball player. He is currently a pitcher in the Tampa Bay Rays franchise.
Early Life
Jae Kuk Ryu was born in Choon Chung Do, South Korea, on May 30, 1983. He attended high school at Duk Soo High School. In 2001, he signed as an amateur free agent with the Chicago Cubs.
Pro Career
On May 14, 2006, Ryu made his MLB debut with the Chicago Cubs. In his first season, he appeared in 10 games and compiled an 8.40 earned run average. In 2007, Ryu appeared in 17 games and finished the season with a record of 1 win and 2 losses with a 7.33 earned run average.
