Jacque Vaughn is a point guard for the NBA's San Antonio Spurs. Vaughn was drafted out of the University of Kansas by the Utah Jazz in 1997. He played four seasons in Utah before playing with the Orlando Magic and the Atlanta Hawks (twice). Vaughn currently holds the record for most consecutive missed field goal attempts to open a season with 22, which occurred in 2001.
In college, Vaughn became the starting point guard during his freshman year at Kansas. He played all four years in college and was known as an excellent passer. At the time he left Kansas, he was the all time assists leader for the school. The school award for assists leader is partially named after Vaughn and is known as the Hunter/Vaughn/Miles Assists Award.
