The National Football League (NFL) regular season starts the weekend after Labor Day. Prior to 1960, the number of games on each team's schedule varied but never exceeded 12 games. Then, from 1961-1977, the NFL went to a 14-game schedule played over 14 weeks. Currently, since 1978, the NFL schedule consists of 16 games. In 1990, the NFL introduced a bye-week to the schedule spreading the 16 games over a 17-week period. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regular_season_%28NFL%29
The Jacksonville Jaguars 16-game schedule includes eight games at home and eight on the road. As the Jacksonville Jaguars play in the AFC South Division, they will play six games against divisional opponents; one home and one away game for each team in their division. The other teams in the AFC South include the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and the Tennessee Titans. The Jaguars play their home games in Jacksonville Municpal Stadium (formerly Alltel Stadium), which is located in Jacksonville, FL. http://www.jaxevents.com/municipalstadium.php

The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a disappointing 2009 season where they finished with a 7-9 record and missed the playoffs. The Jaguars are led by David Garrard at quarterback and feature one of the top running backs in the league in Maurice Jones-Drew. This offseason, the team has been focusing on improving their defense and have made a key free agent pickup by signing two-time Pro Bowl defensive end Aaron Kampman. http://myespn.go.com/s/conversations/show/story/4973360
