Jackie Guerrido

Jackie Guerrido is the weatherperson on Despierta America (Wake up America in English), a Spanish language morning television show on the Univision station.

She began her career as a model and an actress, appearing in television commercials as well as print ads. She then moved on to doing voice over work, and soon started hosting a morning radio program called El Vacilon de la Manana. Later, she was hired as an announcer on Romance 106.7 in New York, where she gave news and traffic reports. She also had her own music show on Salsa 98.3 FM.http://jackieguerrido.org/

On April 19, 2008, Guerrido married reggaeton singer, Don Omar, in a ceremony on the island of Puerto Rico. It was reported that the pair was legally wed in a civil ceremony in New York a month prior to their formal wedding celebration.

Jackie Guerrido was born in Rio Poedras, Puerto Rico on September 24, 1970, and was raised in San Juan. Her family moved to the Bronx in New York City shortly after Jackie finished high school, and there she began pursuing her career in the entertainment world. Don Omar and Guerrido were married on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at the Ritz Hotel in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico. There were about 300 guests at the reception including Tego Calderon, Cristina Saralegui and Don Francisco.
