Jack Reed

Jack Reed is the senior senator from Rhode Island. Previously he represented the second district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Reed is scheduled to address the 2008 Democratic Convention on August 27, the third night of the event. Reed was re-elected to the Senate on November 4, 2008.

Speculation began in July 2008, that Reed might be a candidate for running mate with presumptive Democratic Party nominee Barack Obama in the 2008 election.
