Jack Reed is the senior senator from Rhode Island. Previously he represented the second district in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has served in public office in one capacity or another since 1985.Congress.org: Jack Reed Prior to his political career he worked as an attorney. Reed is scheduled to address the 2008 Democratic Convention on August 27, the third night of the event. Reed was re-elected to the Senate on November 4, 2008.
