Jack Poole was the man who led Vancouver's bid on 2010 Winter Olympics. He was the chairman of the Vancouver Olympic organizing committee's board of directors. Jack pool was born in April 14, 1933 in Saskatchewan. He had aboriginal back ground and had a Metis card. He received National Aboriginal Achievement Award in the business and commerce category in March, 2007. He got divorced from his first wife in 1983 and married again in 1987. In 2003 he was appointed as the chairman of the VANOC committee. In 2007 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He died because of the complications of pancreatic cancer on Oct. 23, 2009, at the age of 76.
