Jack Jordan

  • Jack Jordan is a former mental patient who is standing trial in Manhattan's state Supreme Court for allegedly stalking actress Uma Thurman. Jordan believed that he and Thurman had met in a previous life and were predestined to be together.

On November 8, 2005, Jordan showed up on the set of My Super Ex Girlfriend and tried to deliver a note to Thurman through an assistant. Jordan showed up at Thurman's house where he rang her doorbell twice a day for about 10 days.

Defense lawyer George Vomvolakis claims Jordan needs to be in psychiatric treatment, not in jail. Vomvolakis says that Jordan has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

  • Thurman Stalking

Jordan allegedly began stalking Thurman by sending emails to her father Robert Thurman in November 2004. Robert Thurman thought the requested information was for a study-abroad program. The first emails made no mention of Uma Thurman.

In February 2005, according to testimony, Jack Jordan sent an email to Robert Thurman saying "Today the center of my forehead is ticking now and then. I feel in love with your daughter Uma."

Uma Thurman's mother Birgitte received a telephone call from Jordan wherein he told her that he believed that he and her daughter were meant to be together. Birgitte Thurman tried to tell Jordan that it was an infatuation and that he was "projecting" his own fantasies into Uma Thurman’s life and it was not reality. Jordan, according to Birgitte Thurman's testimony, responded that there was no meaning for life for him and he would kill himself.
