• Food Safety Concerns

  In 1993, several people became sick and some died after consuming undercooked beef contaminated with E. coli from Jack in the Box locations in the Pacific Northwest. The chain initiated a new quality standard of cooking and Jack in the Box has since rebounded to become one of America's quickest expanding fast food franchises.

• Jack Box and Ad Campaigns

  Jack in the Box has featured a significant advertising presence since the 1970s, often featuring a character named "Jack Box", a business-type with a round white ball for a head. The Jack Box character has expanded since the 1990s and he is now featured in every commercial. According to his MySpace profile, Box is 7'2" and a Taurus.
