Jack Christiansen is a retired National Football League player and coach. Playing nine seasons in the NFL, Christiansen made the Pro Bowl in the following years: 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956 and 1957. After his playing career he moved on to coach the San Fransisco 49ers for nearly five seasons.

Brief Biography:
As a coach with the 49ers, Christiansen won a total of 26 games, and had a 46% winning percentage. As an all-star player, he only lasted just under four seasons as a coach. He moved on to coach Stanford University in 1972, making it back to the NFL in 1977 through 1983. Christiansen died three years later after never regaining consciousness after a surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.
