Jack Buck was a legendary sportscaster, primarily known for being the play-by-play voice of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team for nearly a half-century. He called 11 World Series and in his work with CBS Radio called 17 different Super Bowls. He is a member of the broadcasting wings of both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Baseball Hall of Fame. He passed away on June 18, 2002.

Buck called nearly every big moment in Cardinals history, including the World Series championships in 1964, 1967, and 1982. He was famous for ending games won by the Cards with his catchphrase, "That's a winner!" Buck also would be paired with Hank Stram on CBS Radio broadcasts of Monday Night Football. His long affiliation with CBS Sports included him calling the famous Ice Bowl game in 1967. His son Joe is the lead broadcaster for FOX Sports baseball and football coverage.
