Ja Rule is an East Coast rapper from the Queens section of New York City. He has sold over 20 million albums since his debut album Venni Vetti Vecci was released in 1999. His biggest hit singles include "Put It On Me," "Between Me And You" and "I'm Real" with Jennifer Lopez.

Ja Rule was arrested in July of 2007 after cops found a pistol in his car during a license plate check. He appeared in court in New York City for weapons charges on March 31, 2009.TMZ: Ja Rule: Hey Plaxico, Fancy Meeting You Here (March 31, 2009)

Ja Rule has also dabbled in the movie business, appearing in films such as The Fast And The Furious and Scary Movie 3. In 2005, he played Smiley in the film Assault on Precinct 13. He also had small roles in Shall We Dance and The Cookout co-starring Queen Latifah.
