Major General J. Scott Gration is a retired officer of the U.S. Air Force. He has served as a military strategist and command pilot and has received numerous decorations for service. On January 14, 2009, it was reported that President-elect Barack Obama would be appointing John Scott Gration as the new head of NASA.
