J Dilla aka Jay Dee was one of the most respected and influential producers in hip hop. He was popular for his work with A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Tha Pharcyde, and Mos Def. In 2006, after battling a rare blood disease, Dilla passed away.
