J.D. Drew

J.D. Drew is a right-fielder for the Boston Red Sox. Drew began his major league career in 1998 with the St. Louis Cardinals. Drew has suffered a series of injuries throughout his career, limiting his playing time. In 2007, Drew signed a five-year contract with the Boston Red Sox worth $70 million.

Drew's public image has suffered throughout his career due to a perceived lack of passion for the game, as well as his many injuries. Former manager Tony La Russa has said Drew decided to "settle for 75%" of his talent and playing ability.
