    Romero was suspended by Major League Baseball for 50 games to start the 2009 season after testing positive for a banned substance. Romero is calling the suspension unfair, stating that the substance he took was not on the banned list and was purchased over the counter at a nutrition store. An arbitrator ruled against Romero and accused him of negligence.
