Iveta Benesova is a professional tennis player from the Czech Republic who has achieved her best results as a doubles player. Benesova's career-high ranking was 33 in 2005 as a singles player on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour but on July 28, 2008, she reached a career-high in doubles with a ranking at 22.
Benesova lost to Venus Williams twice in one day during the 2008 Olympic Games. First Benesova was defeated by Venus in the second round of singles play, then Venus and Serena Williams defeated Benesova and her partner, Nicole Vaidisova, in the first round of doubles.
