A trade has been finalized that sends all-star Allen Iverson to the Detroit Pistons. After the Pistons lost to the Boston Celtics in the 2008 Eastern Conference Finals, Pistons team president Joe Dumars warned the team that anyone could be traded, stating that there "are no sacred cows" on the team. Dumars also fired coach Flip Saunders after the series loss to the Celtics. The Pistons attempted to make a deal during the offseason, which revealed that Billups was the player most likely to be traded.
