The classic Peanuts cartoon special It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown has aired on American television for more than 40 Halloween seasons. It was the second special to feature the Peanuts Gang, the first being A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Charlie Brown has been invited to his first costume party, Snoopy makes his first appearance as the World War I flying ace in hot pursuit of the Red Baron, and Linus famously sits in a pumpkin patch all night waiting in vain for the Great Pumpkin in this classic Peanuts episode. -
