According to Palestinian medical sources, at least 40 people were killed in an Israeli missile strike near a United Nations-run school in the Gaza Strip on January 6, 2009. Reports said several children were among the victims who died at the al-Fakhura school in the Jabaliya refugee camp. Israel claims Palestinian forces fired from the school before the strike.
